Job summary

A regional healthcare provider is seeking an enthusiastic Podiatrist to join their Community Podiatry team in Dorchester, UK. This permanent role offers the opportunity to advance from Band 5 to Band 6. Candidates must be HCPC registered or due to be registered, with experience in community podiatry desirable. Job description
Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Podiatrist to join our Community Podiatry team in West Dorset (Dorchester). This permanent full‑time post (37.5 hours) offers the chance to develop from Band 5 to Band 6 under an accelerated pathway. Part‑time applicants (minimum 22.5 hours) are also welcome.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high‑risk podiatry care in GP surgeries, community clinics, patient homes and hospital settings.
  • Deliver diabetic foot care, including risk assessment, annual classification and banding.
  • Participate in foot clinic rotations at one of three hospitals.
  • Work collaboratively with hospital diabetic foot services and biomechanics specialities.
  • Engage in CPD, study days, clinical rotations and regular supervision.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • HCPC registered (or due to be).
  • Access to a car and a valid driver’s licence.
  • Flexible working and willingness to work core hours Monday‑Friday 08:30‑16:30 (flexibility will be discussed).
  • Enhanced DBS check (covered by the Trust; existing DBS certificate accepted).
  • Experience in community podiatry and diabetic foot care is desirable.
  • Part‑time work (minimum 22.5 hours) is accepted.
