This role offers flexibility with full-time and part-time options, ensuring support and development opportunities. Candidates must be registered midwives with relevant qualifications and experience in community care. The salary ranges from £38,682 to £46,580 per year. Join us to provide essential care and improve vaccine uptake in the community.
Are you a dedicated midwife passionate about maternity vaccinations? Our new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH) has now opened its doors, and we are seeking experienced community midwives to join us as maternity vaccinators.
At SWB we pride ourselves on the way we support and nurture our colleagues and the value we place on progression for all of our midwives. We offer appropriate support for those who require additional care in the community. Every service user is treated as an individual and their values are ours. SWB provides excellent career development opportunities for staff. Come and have an informal chat over coffee with one of our team leaders or midwives to see if SWB could be the change you are looking for. Email nicola.tomkins@nhs.net – Deputy Matron for Community. We would love to see you; there is no obligation.
Experience of community‑based midwifery care is desirable but not essential. A midwife vaccinator will run clinics from our hubs and a twilight service once per week from MMUH antenatal clinic 12‑8 pm. Successful candidates will be required to up‑skill on vaccinating for seasonal flu, COVID‑19, pertussis and RSV with a good understanding of cold‑chain storage best practices. You will be part of a supportive team, have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously where required to increase vaccine uptake. Training can be provided for up‑skilling (if required) and if you have particular interest in developing an area of your practice we will endeavour to accommodate this.
