Qualifications

Overview

CPFT is recruiting Registered Mental Health Practitioners (Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists) for a full‑time permanent role within our Forensic Psychiatry Team based in Cambridge and Peterborough. The service provides specialist care for adults with mental health conditions and/or learning disabilities who present a risk of significant harm, working closely with low secure units to ensure a seamless pathway from inpatient to community.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver tailored psychosocial care and risk management for service users with forensic histories.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, support workers and administrators to design and implement a comprehensive care package.
  • Ensure the shortest inpatient to community journey and provide a robust discharge through a collaborative wrap‑around service.
  • Work closely with a low secure unit to support a smooth transition from inpatient to community.
  • Operate 7 days a week (excluding bank holidays) and provide shift work on a rotational basis.
  • Travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines, using your own vehicle.
Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence and capability for independent travel across the region.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary forensic or specialist mental health setting is an advantage.
