Community Coordinator

The Living Well Hub Community Coordinator will play a central role in supporting the General Manager with the effective coordination and day-to-day delivery of the ground floor community space at Warrington's Living Well Hub. The postholder will ensure the Hub is a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment that is responsive to the diverse needs of local people.

Working under the leadership of the General Manager, the postholder will apply their safeguarding knowledge, strong organisational skills, and community insight to support the smooth running of services, activities, and events. They will provide frontline engagement with the public and service users, acting as a key point of contact for advice, guidance, and signposting.

The postholder will also build positive relationships with delivery partners, ensuring their sessions are well supported and aligned to the Hub's vision. In the absence of the General Manager, they will contribute to the effective oversight of daily operations, maintaining high standards of service, safety, and accessibility.

You will be a strong advocate for the Warrington-wide "living well" ethos, building relationships between providers and actively encouraging members of the public to access the Hub and the services that may benefit them.

Main duties of the job
  • Creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where all visitors feel supported and valued.
  • Building strong relationships with community members, partners, and service providers to maximise the impact of the Hub's offer.
  • Supporting the delivery of a diverse range of services, sessions, and events that reflect community needs and priorities.
  • Ensuring safeguarding and wellbeing are at the heart of all community interactions and activities.
  • Helping to embed the Hub as a trusted, central point of access for health, care, and wellbeing in Warrington.

The role will be a busy and varied role requiring you to multi‑task and to work to deadlines. It will demand a high level of interaction with multiple stakeholders, including staff and service users, therefore an ability to build and maintain excellent relationships across a wide group of partners will be essential.

Reporting to the Living Well Hub General Manager, the Community Coordinator will act as a key representative of the Hub, combining strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent communication and frontline engagement. The role requires a proactive, flexible approach and the ability to build positive relationships with members of the public, partners, and service providers. The postholder must be confident working independently, while also contributing effectively as part of the wider Hub team.

Person Specification
Experience
  • Substantial experience in a frontline public-facing or coordination role within the public sector, health, social care, or voluntary sector.
  • Extensive safeguarding experience, including confidently identifying, responding to, and escalating concerns in line with organisational and statutory procedures.
  • Experience organising and delivering health, wellbeing, or engagement events or activities in a public sector or voluntary setting.
  • Experience gathering and using community or service user feedback to inform and improve services or activities.
physical skills
  • Competent IT skills, including using Microsoft Office applications and social media platforms (e.g., Facebook) to communicate, promote, and engage with service users and communities.
Qualifications
  • Level 2 or above safeguarding training
