Overview

We are looking for a Community Administration Assistant to join our Leisure, Healthy Lifestyles & Communities team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting local communities and helping people to connect with services that make a real difference.

Responsibilities
  • In this role, you will provide administrative, outreach and promotional support for a range of community projects, including the Wyre Befriending Service and Wyre Community Hubs. You will communicate regularly with local voluntary groups, clubs and community organisations by email, phone and newsletters, and you will help to organise events and networking opportunities. You will also assist with promoting our health and wellbeing programmes both online and at community events.
  • You will work closely with colleagues and external partners to build positive relationships and ensure that our services reach those who need them most.
Requirements
  • To succeed in this role, you will need excellent IT skills and strong organisational and communication abilities. You should be confident working with a diverse range of people and able to manage multiple tasks effectively. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
  • Experience in community engagement, event support or administration would be an advantage, but more important is your enthusiasm, professionalism and commitment to making a difference.
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
