As a Communication Systems Technician, you’ll be part of a team working on the Skynet project at an exciting stage of its evolution. You’ll help maintain and support critical infrastructure, ensuring systems operate to the highest standards. This is an entry‑level role with plenty of opportunities to learn and develop your skills.
Working closely with the operations team, you’ll ensure systems are maintained to the highest standards, enabling secure and reliable communications for our customers.
This is a fantastic opportunity to start your engineering career in a fast‑paced, high‑impact environment. You’ll gain hands‑on experience, receive structured training over 18 months, and work alongside experienced professionals who will support your development every step of the way.
As a Communication Systems Technician, you will be responsible for supporting both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, contributing to the resolution of engineering challenges Acting as the initial escalation point for fault diagnosis within the Skynet Network, you will assist the Shift Maintenance and Support Engineer and play a key role in delivering first‑line and second‑line maintenance tasks.
The role is based onsite at Colerne and the set working times are Monday to Friday, totalling 37 hours per week.
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
