Job description

Axon Moore are exclusively recruiting a Commercial Pricing Analyst for a PE‑backed, rapidly growing and highly ambitious international logistics business. The business provides logistics services to worldwide retailers and, since it started trading in mid‑2022, it has already hit £32m in annual revenue. Working with several blue‑chip businesses, they look to grow their portfolio of clients substantially, making this an extremely exciting time to join the business as it expands.

In this role you will be an integral part of the team, responsible for pricing, tender bids, routing and gross‑margin reporting. This is a business‑critical role, so it is imperative that the person can work in a timely manner, with accuracy and insightful reporting. We require someone with a pricing background where the costs/prices have multiple factors before margin is considered.

Salary and benefits

£50‑60k per annum (dependent upon experience), 37.5 hours per week, fully remote working model, 25 days holiday (plus statutory bank holidays), pension.

Role Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine pricing models for new or bespoke customer solutions.
  • Produce customer sell rates across a range of pricing methodologies.
  • Conduct detailed pricing analysis using parcel‑level data.
  • Carry out commercial cost analysis on new and existing carrier proposals to identify the most cost‑effective options.
  • Manage and maintain the carrier routing matrix.
  • Provide volume and revenue reporting to support commercial decision‑making.
  • Support ongoing improvements to pricing tools, processes, and methodologies.
  • Deliver ad‑hoc analysis and tasks as required.
Person Specification
  • 3+ years’ experience in a pricing role within the logistics/e‑commerce/retail sectors.
  • Advanced experience with MS Excel, including macros.
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL or other tools would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a passion for using data to solve problems.
  • Confident working with large and complex datasets and transforming them into actionable insights.
  • Highly proficient in Excel, with the ability to streamline and optimise large data analyses.
  • Able to communicate clearly and translate complex information into insights that are easy for all stakeholders to understand.
  • Capable of completing complex tasks independently, even without predefined processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
