OverviewJohn Sisk & Son are seeking a Commercial Manager to join their UK Civils Business Unit in Birmingham on a project valued at over £50m, focusing on public highways and infrastructure schemes. The Commercial Manager will hold overall responsibility for, in conjunction with the DiC/AM, managing the project to ensure successful delivery, maintaining relationships, and maximizing commercial returns.

Responsibilities- Liaise with clients, their representatives, and third parties on commercial issues, including negotiating additional payments.
- Manage project costs and value, ensuring proper systems and procedures are in place.
- Identify unfavorable terms and conditions, and negotiate contracts with clients and employers.
- Possess detailed knowledge of the project cost management system and guide others effectively.
- Develop innovative systems to control and monitor direct works costs and financial performance.
- Design and oversee complex project cost reporting systems, capable of data interrogation and trend analysis.
- Propose actions in response to changing client and stakeholder needs and expectations.
Experience- Experience in devising, managing, and monitoring complex project cost reporting systems with data analysis capabilities.
- Ability to facilitate risk management reviews, identify and classify project and business risks, and propose solutions.
- Strong negotiation skills, capable of leading negotiations on complex projects to secure favorable results.
- Experience managing disputes through various resolution processes, with knowledge of legal techniques.
- Demonstrates leadership and commitment, fostering a culture aligned with Sisk HSE Group values.
Qualifications- Relevant third-level qualification.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial civils management and leadership.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Experience with bonds, warranties, insurances, and financial management.
