A facilities management company in the UK is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to conduct maintenance and fault-finding work across the Midlands. Overview

Are you an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer? Do you have experience gained within Facilities Management or Construction? Can you travel around various sites in Stafford/Stoke on Trent/Derby area across the North of the Midlands?

Responsibilities
  • Deliver planned and preventative gas maintenance, fault finding and repair.
  • Ensure high levels of Health & Safety compliance at all times.
  • Work to set service level agreements; open and close work orders in real time.
  • If the job requires technical or specialist help, escalate accordingly; you are not expected to be an expert, but should flag when assistance is needed.
  • Represent Arcus; maintain a professional impression, adhere to dress code and keep the company vehicle in good condition.
  • Work autonomously in a pressurised environment; prioritise a complex and demanding workload.
  • Communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, to report operational issues within your region; provide customer-focused service in a people-oriented environment.
  • Operate as a skilled Gas Engineer with experience in Facilities Management or Construction, ideally on high-profile commercial contracts (retail/supermarkets). Develop an understanding of refrigeration systems and commercial M&E service technologies.

Additional Information
  • The role will involve working 45 hours per week
  • On call 1 in 4 weeks, including 1 in 4 Saturdays
