JOB TITLE: Commercial Contracts Solicitor

PQE REQUIRED: 4+

LOCATION: Berkshire (Hybrid Working – 3 Days in Office)

Role

An ambitious and well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Solicitor (4+ PQE) to join its dynamic team. This is a strategic senior-level hire offering a clear pathway to partnership, either now or in the near future. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Team Leader, driving the growth of the Commercial Contracts offering, and shaping the future direction of the team. You will manage your own caseload while contributing to mentoring, team development, and business growth. Core Areas of Work include Commercial contracts (including supply, distribution, SaaS, and licensing agreements). Intellectual property (registration, protection, and enforcement). Data protection and privacy compliance

Responsibilities
  • Manage own caseload of commercial contracts, including supply, distribution, SaaS, and licensing agreements.
  • Support the Team Leader in driving growth of the Commercial Contracts offering and shaping team strategy.
  • Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to team development.
  • Engage in business development and client relationship management.
  • Provide advice on intellectual property registration, protection, and enforcement, and data protection and privacy compliance.
Qualifications
  • A solicitor with 4+ years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) in commercial law.
  • Strong foundation in commercial contracts, with experience in IP and data protection.
  • Commercially astute with a pragmatic, client-focused approach.
  • Experience advising a broad client base, from SMEs to global corporations.
  • Ability to work independently and mentor junior lawyers.
  • Proactive approach to business development and client relationship management.
  • Adaptable communication style, tailoring advice and service to individual client needs.
