Commercial Construction Manager - Property

Are you a commercially astute Construction or Cost Manager with a passion for retail environments and client-side delivery? Join our dynamic Property team at TJX Europe on a permanent basis, where you will help shape the future of our store portfolio managing programme spend of £50m+ across the UK and Mainland Europe.

We are driving a significant construction programme of new store acquisitions, expansions, and refurbishments, and we are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment and can bring strategic cost insight from project inception through to post-opening enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost planning and feasibility analysis for new and existing store projects, identifying key risks and drivers.
• Manage end-to-end procurement activities including tendering, supplier onboarding, and contract negotiations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure value-driven delivery across multiple workstreams.
• Drive cost challenge and savings through expert application of cost management methodology.
• Develop model store pricing benchmarks across geographies using brand knowledge and outturn data.
• Influence decision-making at board level with clear, data-backed cost insights.
• Work across a diverse portfolio including GC, HVAC, Electrical, Fire Safety, Signage, Shopfitting, Flooring, Lighting, and Digital.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying (or working towards completion).
• Proven experience in client-side retail construction or cost management.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence in presenting cost data to varied audiences.
• Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities.
• A collaborative mindset and ability to build lasting relationships across functions and geographies.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe. This is a hybrid role based 3 days per week at our amazing Watford campus.
