This role combines broking and underwriting responsibilities, catering exclusively to commercial insurance clients. Overview

Commercial Broker / DA Underwriter - Leeds. This role is an interesting commercial insurance position that combines broking and underwriting. Our client is a successful and highly regarded insurance brokerage based in Leeds City Centre.

Responsibilities
  • Deal with exclusively commercial insurance clients, providing broking support to the national team of Account Executives.
  • Assist with new business enquiries, make amendments to existing policies, and market and negotiate renewal terms on the client's behalf.
  • Utilise delegated authority underwriting facilities to make decisions on risks to a certain level without referring to insurers (training provided).
Qualifications & Skills
  • At least 12 months of insurance experience (preferably broking or underwriting).
  • Well organised with great attention to detail; able to prioritise and communicate effectively with team, clients, and insurance companies.
  • Previous use of Acturis is beneficial but not essential; full system training can be provided.
  • Experience or interest in hybrid working arrangements is welcome.
