Commercial Assistant – Evesham (Southwest or Midlands)

Our Commercial team is expanding, and we are excited to welcome a talented Commercial Assistant to join us. As a Commercial Assistant at UKPS, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial team with accurate financial, contractual and administrative tasks across projects. This position combines procurement, cost control and reporting responsibilities with hands‑on involvement in subcontract management and variations. The role is remote with travel required to our offices in Gloucestershire or Leicestershire.

Responsibilities
  • Commercial Support – Manage purchase orders, maintain accurate data and databases, produce reports and assist with budgets, profit and loss statements and final accounts.
  • Financial and Contract Administration – Support change control processes, including Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), and ensure compliance with subcontractor insurance and health and safety.
  • Subcontract Management – Assist with monthly liabilities, accruals and payment applications, issue payment notices and resolve queries promptly.
  • Reporting and Tracking – Maintain trackers for contractual notices, early warnings and variations, ensuring all information is up to date and accurate.
  • Team Support – Contribute to creating subcontract orders, provide cover during holidays and support the wider commercial team with ad hoc tasks.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
  • Experience with ERP systems desirable
  • Previous experience in a commercial or finance support role
  • Construction or Utilities background desirable
