Job description
Overview

Qualified Band 7 Cognitive Behavioural Therapist – Hyndburn & Rossendale NHS Talking Therapies, full time (37.5 hours).

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to work for Hyndburn & Rossendale NHS Talking Therapies service. We are a dedicated team of Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs), Cognitive Behavioural Therapists and Counsellors who offer a range of support to help people make positive changes to reduce stress and anxiety and improve their wellbeing. An opportunity now exists for a band 7 accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who is passionate about providing meaningful and effective therapeutic experiences to address common mental health problems.

NHS Talking Therapies CBT Therapists offer accessible screening, assessment and treatment for common mental health problems, giving service users a greater degree of choice and flexibility by providing CBT either face-to-face, online or in groups.

You will have a proven track record of delivering high quality service outcomes against robust performance measures and have excellent interpersonal qualities; time management skills; an ability to work autonomously; and an enthusiasm for working in an ever-developing IAPT environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide accessible screening, assessment and treatment for common mental health problems within the NHS Talking Therapies framework (CBT either face-to-face, online or in groups).
  • Deliver high quality service outcomes against robust performance measures in an IAPT environment.
  • Empower service users with collaborative choices of intervention and support mental health promotion, recovery, empowerment and personal responsibility.
  • Work autonomously within a forward‑looking, innovative service while communicating effectively with the wider team of PWPs, CBT therapists and other colleagues.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Band 7 accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.
  • Proven track record of delivering high quality service outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal qualities, time management skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Enthusiasm for working in an evolving IAPT environment.
