A healthcare practice in Liverpool is seeking a reliable Medical Coder to support the clinical team in accurate processing and management of patient information within EMIS. We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Medical Coder to support the clinical team by ensuring accurate processing, coding and management of patient information within EMIS. The post holder will be responsible for reviewing clinical correspondence, assigning the correct SNOMED codes, updating patient records and following established pathways to ensure information is recorded safely and efficiently.
The role involves close collaboration with clinicians, the scanning team and administrative colleagues to maintain high standards of data quality, support QOF and clinical audits and ensure timely coding completion. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, the ability to work independently, strong organisational skills and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality. Prior experience in medical coding or familiarity with EMIS and primary care terminology is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
