About The Role

National Grid is hiring a CNI ServiceNow Engineer for our CNI Infrastructure Support team. This role is based at our Warwick office, with hybrid working (1 day per week on-site). You’ll play a key role in designing and developing secure, scalable ServiceNow solutions that support critical operations across our enterprise.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and maintain ServiceNow solutions following best practices and standards.
  • Monitor platform health, usage, and compliance.
  • Collaborate on upgrade strategies and implement major version upgrades and patches.
  • Leverage plug‑ins and app store components for integrations and development.
  • Capture business requirements in an agile way and deliver reusable workflows that drive performance.
  • Validate change requests and manage platform demands.
  • Set standards for Mid Server deployment and usage.
  • Conduct security and performance audits with remediation.
About You
  • Expert JavaScript development skills and experience with Core Java, Web Services, and Jelly scripting.
  • Strong analytical ability to turn complex business needs into smart solutions.
  • Skilled at balancing business, cost, and technology priorities to deliver the best outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, Agile/Scrum environment and manage multiple projects.
  • Proven relationship‑building and influencing skills with both IT and business leaders.
  • Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities and rapid change.

More information
  • This role is offered on a full time basis.
  • This role will require National Security Vetting (NSV) checks.
  • We are also offering hybrid /flexible working where travel to the office will be as per business need- 1 day per week on average. Base location for this role will be NG House, Warwick.
