Overview

Job title: CNC Machining Setter Operator

Location: Leamington Spa

Salary: £25.89 p/h Umbrella

Duration: 6-month initial contract

Role and Responsibilities

• Operating and setting up 3x Mazak Integrex i-200-ST Multi Axis Machining Centres.
• Producing components according to drawings and planning route cards to meet the highest quality standards and delivery schedules.
• Taking a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement within the team.
• Demonstrating expertise with Mazak/Fanuc controls, with a preference for Mazatrol programming experience.
• Adapting to different manufacturing areas, including experience with Mazak VariAxis i500/i600 machines, and setting/operating two-axis CNC Lathe machines.
• A willingness to work overtime as necessary to meet project delivery dates.
• The ability to read and understand programs, and the capability to edit programs and adjust speeds and feeds when required.
• Proficiency in the use of turning tips and milling cutters.

Requirements

• Proven experience in producing high-quality components from drawings and planning route cards.
• A proactive and innovative mindset, with a strong problem-solving orientation.
• Familiarity with Mazak/Fanuc controls, with preference given to those with Mazatrol programming experience.
• Experience with multitasking lathes would be advantageous.
• Flexibility to work in various manufacturing areas, including Mazak VariAxis i500/i600 machines and two-axis CNC Lathe machines.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet project deadlines.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding programs, as well as the ability to edit programs and adjust machining parameters as needed.
• Strong knowledge of turning tips and milling cutters.
