CNC Machine Setter-Operator

Location: Barnsley

Salary: £17.00 p/h (+ OT rates)

Are you a skilled CNC enthusiast ready to take your career to the next level? We're seeking a talented and experienced CNC Machine Setter-Operator to join our dynamic team. You will showcase your expertise in setting up and operating Haas 3, 4, and 3 axis CNC mills, along with Y-axis lathes.

Key Responsibilities

• Programming, setting, and operating Haas 3 and 4 axis CNC mills and Y-axis lathes (5 axis preferred but not required)
• Carrying out dimensional and visual checks using appropriate measuring equipment
• Online and offline programming with Hypermill CAM
• Deburring and finishing of components
• Maintaining a clean and safe workplace
• Working 40 hours per week plus overtime as required

Required Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
• 3-axis programming using Hyper Mill
• Proficient in using Haas CNC Mills and Lathes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience working with tight tolerances and deadlines
• Flexible attitude towards working hours and overtime
• Ability to work independently
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
