A professional trade only sign manufacturer, based in the Leicestershire area, specialising in all types of internal and external signage.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a CNC Router Operator for a manufacturing company based in Leicester. Our client is looking for someone who has existing experience of operating CNC Routers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operating CNC routers to cut and machine signage components to specification
  • Loading, setting, and unloading materials such as ACM, aluminium, acrylic, PVC, MDF, and foamex
  • Programming or editing jobs using CAD/CAM or router software (where trained)
  • Checking parts against drawings and job sheets for accuracy and finish
  • Carrying out basic quality control and dimensional checks
  • Monitoring machine operation and identifying faults or tool wear
  • Performing basic machine maintenance and housekeeping
  • Ensuring correct material orientation, feeds, and speeds
  • Working to production schedules and deadlines
  • Following health & safety procedures and safe working practices
  • Keeping work areas clean, organised, and free from waste
  • Liaising with sign makers and production staff to support overall build processes
About You
  • Have previous experience with operating CNC Routers
  • Ability to stand on feet for majority of the day
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn how to operate and possibly set other machinery as required
