Responsibilities

• Program, set, and operate CNC lathes to produce precision-engineered components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Develop and optimize CNC programs to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Conduct first-off inspections and ensure parts meet strict quality standards.
• Adjust tooling, speeds, and feeds to achieve the desired finish and tolerances.
• Maintain and troubleshoot CNC equipment to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet customer requirements and delivery deadlines.
• Uphold health, safety, and housekeeping standards in the workshop.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer/Setter/Operator.
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (Fanuc, Mazak, Siemens, or similar).
• Ability to read and work from complex engineering drawings.
• Background in precision engineering or manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Apprenticeship or vocational qualification in CNC machining or mechanical engineering is desirable.
