Cloud Security Manager

Location: UK – Port Sunlight Office
Hybrid Working: 3 days per week in the office

The Cyber Security organisation protects Unilever’s information and operations through a global SOC, security architecture, solution engineering and risk advisory. The function spans Governance, Risk, Assurance & Compliance (GRAC), Tech & Ops, BISO teams and the Office of the CISO.

Role Purpose

The Cloud Security Manager will secure Unilever’s global cloud estate. Responsibilities include cloud cyber risk assessments, advising IT Platform Teams, ensuring application of central security services, managing exceptions, and supporting incident response. The aim is frictionless, risk‑based cloud security that enables resilient business operations.

Role Summary

Reporting to the Senior Cloud Security Lead, this role partners with IT Platforms, Enterprise Architecture and Engineering teams.

Key responsibilities within the Tech & Ops team include:

  • Providing cloud cyber security engineering and risk advisory.
  • Overseeing deployment and operation of cloud security tooling.
  • Advising on cloud security best practice for business initiatives.
  • Supporting cloud‑related training and awareness.
  • Contributing to cloud‑focused cyber transformation.
  • Identifying cost‑effective security improvements.
  • Influencing technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Managing cloud security exceptions and feedback to GRAC.
  • Defining current and target cloud security states with architecture teams.
Main Accountabilities
  • Secure Unilever’s global cloud systems.
  • Advise on cloud‑related cyber best practice.
  • Support cyber transformation initiatives linked to cloud.
  • Optimise security investment for cloud environments.
  • Drive remediation of cloud risks and policy exceptions.
  • Support other security teams on cloud topics.
  • Partner with Security Architecture on cloud‑native tools.
  • Maintain a cloud security champions network.
  • Lead cloud‑related assurance improvement actions.
  • Work across teams to resolve critical cloud cyber risks.
  • Shape cloud baseline controls with Cyber Standards & Controls.
  • Support deployment and governance of global cloud security tools.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science, IT or Engineering.
  • Experience implementing NIST SP 800‑53 across Azure, GCP and AWS.
  • Strong CNAPP experience (e.g., Wiz).
  • Experience with policy‑as‑code and integrating controls into CI/CD.
