Job summary

A leading technology services firm is seeking a Cloud Architect for a remote role in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing secure and scalable cloud solutions aligned with business objectives. With strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, this role requires experience in cloud-native services and Infrastructure as Code. Ideal for candidates with Agile and DevOps experience, as well as cloud certifications.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience designing and delivering cloud architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Relevant cloud certifications preferred.

Role description

The Cloud Architect is responsible for designing and guiding secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions that support business and technology goals. The role defines cloud architecture standards, works closely with engineering and DevOps teams, and ensures solutions are reliable, compliant, and fit for purpose across the organisation.

Required skills
  • Strong experience designing and delivering cloud architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Understands cloud-native services, networking, security, and resilience patterns.
  • Designs scalable, secure, and highly available solutions aligned to business needs.
  • Uses Infrastructure as Code to build and manage cloud environments.
  • Works effectively with Agile and DevOps teams to support CI/CD delivery.
  • Communicates technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have skills
  • Has experience with multi-cloud, hybrid cloud, or migration programmes.
  • Has exposure to containers, Kubernetes, or serverless technologies.
  • Understands cloud cost optimisation and governance practices.
  • Holds relevant cloud certifications or enterprise delivery experience.
