Clinical Support Worker, Ward 4

Clinical Support Workers - 54.5 hours available, full or part time

We are seeking to recruit a Clinical Support Worker for Ward 4 at West Cumberland Hospital. We are looking for caring, dedicated, innovative and motivated Clinical Support Workers to work as part of our dedicated multidisciplinary team. We are a dynamic and enthusiastic team, centralised around holistic patient care with a multidisciplinary approach. Ward 4 is a 32 bedded Acute Care of the elderly ward. We work closely with the experienced and highly motivated Multidisciplinary team.

The essential criteria for this role includes the requirement to have a care certificate or the willingness and ability to undertake this. For further information please see the attached Care Certificate document.

Main duties of the job

You must have a caring approach, be an excellent communicator and be capable of delivering high standards of patient care. Shift pattern - Days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications
  • Level 3 vocational qualification or short courses and completion of competency workbook equivalent to Level 3 in a range of patient and clinical care duties or equivalent knowledge and experience in a range of clinical care duties equivalent to Level 3; theoretical knowledge, experience of a range of care and related procedures, clinical observations knowledge of data protection legislation and health and safety at work legislation.
  • National Care Certificate or commitment to complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment.
  • Numeracy and Literacy Level 2.
  • Undertaken relevant additional training for Clinical Support Workers.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Experience of working in health or social care.
  • Experience of undertaking and recording clinical observations and escalating changes or findings; working knowledge of legislation underpinning care provision.
  • Working knowledge of legislation underpinning care provision.
  • Understanding of the importance of robust, accurate, clear, timely documentation.
