As NHS Scotland's unique provider of a national tele-health and tele-care service, we are responsible for delivering health advice and information by telephone and online services to the population of Scotland 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. NHS 24 is a patient‑focused service providing triage, advice, guidance, referral and information on health and healthcare services.
Our Regional Centres are located at Aberdeen, Cardonald, Clydebank, Dundee and South Queensferry. This role is advertised for the Clydebank Regional Centre.
NHS 24 offers a total reward package with a permanent contract on Band 6 £41,608 – £50,702* (pro rata for part‑time hours). Placement on salary scale depends on confirmation of previous relevant NHS service. Competitive salary enhancements for working unsocial hours are in addition to the basic starting salary.
Earning Potential: NHS 24 is predominately an out‑of‑hours employer. Actual earnings will include payments for evenings, nights, weekend shifts and public holidays. Example earning scenarios are provided in the job pack.
Shift patterns (examples): 16, 24, or 30 hours per week with an 8‑week rota; example rotas include 16hrs – 8/8 weekends; 24hrs – 5/8 weekends; 30hrs – 5/8 weekends. See the job pack for full details.

NHS 24 shift patterns provide an average uplift of 33% in addition to the basic salary. Uplift is indicative and depends on individual shift patterns.
