Clinical Research Nurse – Oncology Trials

Location: London, Sarah Cannon Research Institute
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hrs/week (Monday–Friday 9am – 5pm)
Contract: Fixed Term Contract - Maternity Cover

Join the Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI), a world-leading clinical trials facility specialising in early-phase oncology research. Rated “Good” by the CQC, SCRI is dedicated to advancing targeted and precision therapies for cancer patients.

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Research Nurse or Clinical Trial Practitioner with proven experience in oncology trials to support our growing portfolio of early-phase studies.

Role Overview

You will deliver expert care to patients participating in clinical trials and play a key role in trial coordination, patient safety, and protocol adherence. This includes:

  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating research care for oncology patients
  • Acting as a key worker for trial participants, offering support throughout their treatment
  • Ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and ethical standards
  • Collaborating with investigators and multidisciplinary teams
  • Monitoring and managing side effects of investigational therapies
  • Supporting recruitment and contributing to high-quality trial delivery
What We’re Looking For
  • NMC registration (if applying as a Registered Nurse)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in clinical research, including early-phase trials
  • Oncology trials experience – essential
  • Chemotherapy competency (SACT Passport) if a Registered Nurse
  • Experience in developing clinical pathways and policies
