Job summary

A regional health services provider is looking for a motivated pharmacist to deliver mental health clinical pharmacy services in Chester. The ideal candidate will possess at least 2 years of post-registration experience and have completed clinical pharmacy postgraduate studies. Overview

An opportunity has arisen within our team for an enthusiastic and highly motivated pharmacist with excellent communication skills to provide high quality Mental Health clinical pharmacy services. If you have a passion for delivering optimal patient care and can demonstrate this through the 6Cs of care – compassion, courage, communication, competence and commitment – then we would like to hear from you.

Position Details
  • Fixed term: 12 months (Maternity cover)
  • For a band 7 post, you will have at least 2 years post‑registration experience, be completing or have completed clinical pharmacy post‑graduate study and possess well‑developed clinical pharmacy skills.
  • Shortlisting for this vacancy is due to commence on 29/12/2025 and the proposed interview date is week commencing 12/01/2026.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of specialist mental health clinical pharmacy services as part of the CWP pharmacy team.
  • Work as a member of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that pharmaceutical care needs of patients are met.
  • Ensure that medicines management standards are upheld in all areas of the trust.
  • Provide education on safe and effective use of medication to medical and nursing staff, patients and carers.
  • Provide professional support and supervision to pre‑registration and student pharmacists.

Induction and Training

All new starters will commence in post on one fixed start date each month, in line with our Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme date. P2C offers up to 3 weeks training to support you to meet the induction / initial training requirements of the role.
