A large healthcare provider in Scotland is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the McMillan Head and Neck Clinical Nurse Specialist team. The role involves providing specialist nursing services to head and neck cancer patients across various settings. Candidates should have extensive knowledge in this area and prior experience in a Clinical Nurse Specialist role. This position plays a vital role in patient care and support throughout the cancer treatment process and requires strong interpersonal and advocacy skills.

The opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the McMillian Head and Neck Clinical Nurse Specialist team in the Institute of Neurological Sciences, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The team provides a specialist nursing service to support a caseload of patients with head and neck cancer in an outpatient, inpatient, day care and community setting. The post holder is an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, providing and facilitating effective care and treatment for patients and their significant others.
The post holder will have extensive Head & Neck nursing knowledge and expertise in the support of patients with head and neck cancer, throughout the disease trajectory, from diagnosis, through treatment, cure or palliation. Previous experience of working in a Clinical Nurse Specialist role within Head & Neck cancer services is essential.
This role will act as an expert practitioner, role model and patient advocate, and indirectly as an innovator, change agent, consultant, teacher, supervisor and researcher. The post holder will provide a supportive specialist nursing service to support a caseload of patients with head and neck cancer in an outpatient, inpatient, day care and community setting.
