Job description
The Team:
  • The LGH Department of Surgical and Perioperative Service has an embedded interdisciplinary model of care utilising evidence based best practice to provide best care to the people of Northern Tasmania.
  • The Robotics Assisted Surgery CNC role is a newly created position to support the delivery of Robotics Assisted elective surgical patient journeys with consistency and dedicated excellence.
  • The successful applicant will be a pivotal member of the surgical team working in close collaboration with other perioperative staff.
The Role:
  • Provide clinical nursing leadership in a contemporary acute care practise setting including advanced nursing care within scope of practise.
  • In collaboration with the Nursing Director Surgical and Perioperative Services and Operating Room Suite Nurse Unit Managers (NUM) undertakes nursing assessments, contributes to planning, and co-ordinate the delivery of services to patients admitted for Robotics Assisted Surgery.
  • Develops effective relationships with other service providers across the hospital and within the community to improve services and service access.
  • Actively incorporates teaching, practice-based research and quality activities within the role to improve standards of care.
You will need:
  • Collaborative Care in Surgery: You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team, supporting the delivery of Robotics Assisted Surgery in the surgical setting, to ensure high-quality care during.
  • Skill Development & Growth: The role provides opportunities for you to develop and demonstrate specialized skills and knowledge within a clinical nurse consultant framework, with access to continuous professional development both within the organization and externally.

Details of appointment

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team!

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary

$118,297 to $125,543 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
  • Salary Packaging

    You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
