Clinical Negligence Associate Solicitor
Nottingham
£40,000 to £65,000

The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Clinical Negligence Associate Solicitor to join a growing and well-respected defendant clinical negligence team in Nottingham.

  • Handle your own caseload of defendant clinical negligence claims, often acting on behalf of major healthcare clients including NHS Resolution

  • Support senior solicitors on high-value and complex claims

  • Assist with healthcare inquest and advisory work as required

  • Deliver proactive, commercially minded legal solutions

  • Provide supervision and support to junior team members as needed

  • Contribute to client relationships through secondments and direct client liaison

  • Participate in business development activities, including seminars and training sessions

  • Conduct legal research and advise clients on relevant legislative and procedural changes

You
This role would suit a qualified solicitor who is looking to take the next step in their clinical negligence career within a forward-thinking and supportive team.

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (typically 2–6 years’ PQE)

  • Experience in clinical negligence or catastrophic personal injury (defendant or claimant)

  • Prior exposure to inquest or healthcare advisory work would be advantageous

  • Comfortable working with case management systems and standard legal software

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively

  • A collaborative team player who also works well independently

  • Clear communicator, able to explain complex legal concepts to a wide range of clients

  • Keen to contribute to team success and deliver against billing and service targets
