We are looking for an experienced Clinical Lead Nurse to join our team and help shape the future of our service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead clinical operations, ensuring the highest standards of care, while also contributing to the growth and success of our organization.

This could potentially be a part-time or job-share role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide strong leadership and clinical direction to the care team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care.
  • Clinical queries: Act as the lead point of contact for clinical queries, supporting staff in managing complex care cases.
  • Care planning: Lead clinical assessments, care planning, and the development of personalized care pathways for clients with complex needs.
  • Care plan management: Ensure care plans are followed, regularly reviewed, and updated in accordance with clients\' evolving health conditions.
  • Clinical risk and compliance: Oversee the management of clinical risks and ensure compliance with best practice guidelines and CQC standards.
Staff Management and Training
  • Team supervision: Supervise and mentor a team of nurses and healthcare assistants, providing ongoing clinical support and professional development.
  • Recruitment and training: Lead the recruitment, training, and retention of clinical staff, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality care.
  • Training programs: Organize and deliver clinical training programs, including competency assessments for staff.
  • Performance management: Regular clinical supervision and appraisals should be conducted to monitor performance and development.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
  • Regulatory adherence: Ensure that all clinical practices adhere to CQC regulations and standards of care.
  • Clinical audits: Lead on clinical audits, ensuring continuous improvement in the quality of care provided.
  • Policies and governance: Implement policies and procedures that align with clinical governance and risk management frameworks.
  • Incidents and safeguarding: Investigate and address clinical incidents, complaints, and safeguarding concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the management team to ensure a safe, effective, and responsive service.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, their families, and external healthcare professionals.
  • Meetings: Attend client reviews and multidisciplinary meetings to advocate for the clinical needs of the service users.
  • External collaboration: Work closely with commissioners and other stakeholders to ensure service delivery meets expectations and contractual requirements.
Service Development
  • Strategic development: Play a key role in shaping and developing the clinical services offered by NursLink Homecare.
  • Innovation: Identify opportunities for innovation and improvements in service delivery.
  • Planning: Contribute to strategic planning and the development of new care packages and services.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC PIN.
  • Significant experience in complex care, ideally in a community or home care setting.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role, with the ability to lead and inspire a clinical team.
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and clinical governance.
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of long-term conditions, ventilator care, tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, etc.
  • Experience in conducting clinical assessments, developing care plans, and managing clinical risk.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and delivering exceptional care.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Freelance

Pay: £25.00-£35.00 per hour
