Job description
Overview

In line with the Welsh Ambulance Services continued drive to improve the clinical aspirations of our EMS workforce, the Clinical Directorate are delighted to be recruiting a Clinical Intelligence and Assurance Assistant. This post will support the Trust's Clinical and Digital Strategies by assisting the Clinical Intelligence & Assurance Team (CIAT) in the processing and presenting of clinical data and information. This information informs decision making around clinical practice and ultimately improving patient care. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate administration experience, to ensure the accurate processing of clinical information and effective support for service improvement initiatives. The base will be agreed on recruitment.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to providing clinical data for internal and external reports, clinical audits, and other areas of service improvement.
  • Contribute to data visualisations and infographics for reports and posters.
  • Contribute to editing videos and podcasts.
  • Contribute to the effective delivery of service improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to the Trust's statutory obligations with regards to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Data Protection Act (DPA), Computer Misuse Act and Caldicott Principles.
  • Review ePCRs when required to ensure accurate clinical data is captured for clinical audits, service evaluation and clinical improvement.
  • Ensure the destruction of paper forms (under confidential conditions) once processed.
