A prominent NHS institution in Colchester is inviting applications for a fellow post in anaesthesia. The successful candidate will coordinate simulation activities and take part in delivering quality anaesthetic care. Responsibilities include supervising junior staff and participating in governance and quality meetings, with additional opportunities for teaching. Applications are invited for this exciting fellow post in anaesthesia at Colchester Hospital combining delivery of postgraduate and undergraduate simulation.
The post holder will co-ordinate simulation activity within the department and undertake co-ordination of the foundation simulation programme alongside the Foundation Training Programme Directors.
The post would be for 12 months, commencing February 2026.
Interview date is Monday 19th January.
This post has two roles: clinical and simulation.
The successful applicant will join an established and enthusiastic team in delivering quality anaesthetic, perioperative and critical care services at the Trust. The post holder will be expected to take part in the out of hour’s on-call rota.
Responsibilities will include the supervision of junior staff, teaching, training and participation in departmental governance and quality improvement meetings. There will be flexibility for the post-holder to work in different areas in order to pursue special interests.
