Job Overview

The appointee will work at Northwick Park Hospital in the Maternity department, supporting triage and the implementation of BSOTS. The role involves communicating clearly with women in labour or distress, helping them understand procedures and participate in decisions concerning their management.

Key Responsibilities

• Support triage and BSOTS implementation.
• Communicate with women in labour or distress to acknowledge their wishes and fears.
• Explain procedures and their safety implications to patients and their families.
• Assist in the conjunct diabetes clinic where applicable.
• Maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate acute staff shortages.
• Report directly to Ms Saswati Maitra.
