We are seeking an experienced Clinical Exercise Physiologist to lead the establishment and delivery of a new Clinical Exercise Physiology (CEP) Clinic, designed to support individuals living with long‑term health conditions. The clinic will operate within the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, in collaboration with the Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences, and will provide a unique, student‑supported environment for delivering evidence‑based clinical exercise services.
In this role you will manage the day‑to‑day running of the clinic, supervise clinical delivery by students and staff, and ensure high standards of patient care, assessment and evaluation. You will work in partnership with LJMU academics and external healthcare collaborators, identifying and pursuing opportunities for service development, research and external funding to expand access to clinical exercise interventions across the region.
Qualifications: You will hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology (or a related field) and be AHCS registered, with 2‑3 years of experience in exercise prescription and behavioural support for people with long‑term conditions. Experience supervising students, working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and evaluating service outcomes is essential. A PhD and/or research experience are desirable.
