A healthcare charity in the UK seeks a Clinical Educator to join their Belfast Hospice team. This senior role involves developing training programs for clinical staff, facilitating inductions, and ensuring high-quality palliative care standards are met. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in clinical education, strong communication skills, and a Registered Nursing qualification. Competitive salary and benefits include generous annual leave and professional development opportunities.
We’re looking for a Clinical Educator to join our team at our Belfast Hospice and out in the Community.
The Clinical Educator is a senior practitioner within the Marie Curie multidisciplinary team, responsible for developing and facilitating a comprehensive training programme that supports clinical staff in delivering high-quality palliative care.
The role involves working closely with the Head of Quality and Clinical Practice, Practice Education Facilitators, and place-based teams to embed professional and clinical standards, lead induction and mentoring for new staff, and ensure that quality improvement and clinical governance are reflected in all training and education activities.
At least 75% of the Clinical Educator’s time is spent directly in the clinical setting, supporting staff, fostering a compassionate environment, and driving continuous improvement through learning from incidents, audits, and feedback. The post holder is accountable for their actions, works within relevant legal and ethical frameworks, and plays a key role in mentoring, supervision, and the development of both individuals and the wider team.
Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 6 (aligned with AFC) £38,682 - £46,580 per annum + enhancements.
Contract: Fixed‑Term 2‑years, Full‑time 37.5 hours per week.
Based: Belfast Hospice and Community.
