We wish to recruit an exceptional clinical leader with professional stature to support our medical leadership in Primary Care. You will support the continuing maturity of Neighbourhood Care Networks in the planning and delivery of sustainable, safe and effective services by working closely between primary and secondary care, Local Authorities and the Voluntary Sector.
We are seeking an exceptional Primary Care Clinical Director to join our Primary Care & Community Services Team who can maximise these unique opportunities and who have already demonstrated the ability to deliver sustainable, safe and effective primary care. As a key member of the Divisional Management Team, you will work closely with the Deputy Medical Director-Primary Care, Divisional Director, Divisional General Manager, senior managers and clinicians, including independent contractors, contributing to the management, development and service improvement agenda.
To join our team you will already have current GMC registration, with a higher qualification in General Practice and significant experience at GP level.
The successful candidate will be a general practitioner with a clear commitment to, and experience of improving quality, safety and standards of care within their workplace and, ideally, across a locality. They will need to be flexible, innovative, approachable, and have excellent influencing skills.
In addition to general duties, clinical directors also lead on one or more specific areas listed under Additional Duties. It is anticipated that the role will require between two and seven sessions, dependent on the number of ‘Additional Duties’ undertaken by the Clinical Director.
