Job description

A structured teaching programme tailored individually to suit your needs on passing the MCEM/FCEM exams at the earliest opportunity.

Training Programme
  • 3‑day ‘Fundamentals of Trauma Care’ course
  • In‑house APLS/ATLS/ALS courses
  • Monthly training day with full ED curriculum and expert speakers
  • 3 free ‘National ED Conferences’ to attend as CPD per year
Responsibilities
  • To liaise between nurses, other clinicians, patients and relatives to support safe care
  • Attend and participate in board rounds, ward rounds and other related daily unit activities
  • Provide appropriate workplace supervision to other staff as needed
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, especially regarding documentation
  • Participate in the Emergency rota
  • Discharge notifications and follow‑up clinic letters as directed
  • Participate in clinical and service activities and developments to ensure a high standard of patient care across the Trust
  • Work in close cooperation with medical, professional and managerial colleagues to provide high quality health care to the Trust’s patients and contribute to future thinking about the Trust’s strategic direction
