Clinical Delivery Manager

United Kingdom (Remote)

Reporting to: Deputy Medical Director

Remuneration: £35,000 – £40,000 FTE- plus £1000 working from home allowance

Contract Type: Permanent / Full time - 40 hours per week

Location: Home-based / various UK meeting locations as required

Responsibilities

As our Clinical Delivery Manager, you will:

  • Monitor and report on clinical workforce activity, including forecasting appointment volumes, tracking hours delivered, and supporting capacity planning across the service.
  • Coordinate the introduction of new models of care, ensuring operational readiness and effective communication across relevant teams.
  • Track clinician performance metrics at a service level (quality, timeliness, volume, patient experience) and work with Clinical Leads to identify trends, risks, or areas requiring escalation.
  • Support the maintenance and review of the Clinical Risk Register, Audit Register, and associated remediation plans, ensuring actions are documented and progressed.
  • Coordinate the rollout of clinical policies and processes to the contractor workforce and monitor adoption, escalating compliance risks through the appropriate governance channels.
  • Support complex complaints, escalations, and incidents by collating information, contributing to investigations, and ensuring timely communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain effective communication channels with the clinical workforce, sharing updates, insights, and changes to pathways or processes.
  • Collate, analyse, and present operational and clinical performance data to support decision‑making and service improvement.
  • Manage personal workload effectively, prioritising tasks in response to changing needs and emerging issues.
  • Participate in regular supervision with the Deputy Medical Director and in the PUK performance development process to support ongoing professional development.
  • Complete all mandatory training, including information governance, safeguarding, and health and safety, and engage in additional training relevant to the role.
  • Contribute to wider service development initiatives, operational improvement projects, and transformation workstreams as required.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Experience working in a healthcare, clinical operations, or other regulated services environment
  • Proven experience coordinating service delivery, operational workflows, or performance monitoring
  • Experience analysing data, producing clear reports, and presenting insights to support decision‑making
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, governance teams, and operational staff
  • Experience supporting governance activities such as risk management, incident handling, audit, or quality processes
  • Strong understanding of clinical service delivery and the importance of governance, quality, and patient safety
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and accurate documentation
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in monitoring and reporting
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify risks, inconsistencies, or gaps in processes
  • Confidence using Microsoft 365 and digital tools, including dashboards and online communication platforms
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities
Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Experience working within mental health, community healthcare, or digital health services
  • Experience working with contractor or mixed clinical workforces
  • Experience supporting regulatory inspections (e.g. CQC) or quality improvement programmes
  • Qualifications in project management, quality improvement, or service development (e.g. PRINCE2, Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Understanding of IR35 principles, contractor engagement, and operational boundaries within mixed workforces
  • Knowledge of clinical governance, risk management frameworks, and quality assurance processes
