A healthcare organization is seeking a Clinical Associate Psychologist to join their Greenwich Older People Service. This role involves providing psychological assessments, developing therapeutic interventions, and facilitating therapeutic groups for clients with dementia. The successful candidate will work under supervision, contributing to the multidisciplinary team and supporting clients in mental health challenges. This is an exciting opportunity to develop neuropsychological assessment skills within a supportive environment.
We are looking for a Clinical Associate Psychologist to work in Greenwich Older People Service.
The post holder will provide psychological assessments, formulations and deliver interventions to the communities we serve within Greenwich Older People Service. They will be based in Greenwich Memory Service, where their tasks will include undertaking neuropsychological (dementia) assessments and providing post-diagnostic therapeutic interventions for clients and their significant others individually and in groups.
There will also be opportunities to work into the Older People’s Community Mental Health Team, providing psychological interventions for clients with complex mental health problems and other comorbidities, focusing on strengths and assets to help people with what matters most to them.
This work will be under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist who will retain clinical responsibility for clinical work carried out, provided that the clinical work is within the care plan specified.
The post holder will be working independently on a day-to-day basis according to a plan agreed with supervisors and within the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures.
The post holder will also assist in clinically related administration, development and conduct of audits and/or research projects, teaching and project work.
You will receive training and supervision to develop your neuropsychological assessment skills.
All clinical duties will be carried out under the supervision and direction of a qualified Clinical Psychologist. The post-holder has a responsibility to perform all tasks within the spirit and the policies of Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. Under such direction and with these conditions the duties will include:
