Clinical Assistant Professor in Veterinary Clinical Pathology (MED227325X2)

University of Nottingham, School of Veterinary Medicine and Science wishes to expand its veterinary pathology team with the appointment of a veterinary clinical pathologist. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development of future veterinary surgeons and veterinary clinical pathologists by sharing your knowledge and experience to ensure competence and inspire life‑long learning in veterinary clinical pathology.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver the year‑5 clinical rotation teaching and the relevant subject teaching for the first four years of the course.
  • Assist in the further development of the School’s programme of postgraduate training in clinical pathology.
  • Provide guidance and support to clinical associate practices with onsite labs and contribute to investigations into cytology‑histopathology co‑relates.
  • Collaborate with research teams within the School to support diverse research activities, facilities and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Veterinary degree registrable with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
  • Completed a postgraduate training programme in veterinary clinical pathology or equivalent experience.
  • Spent several years in academic or commercial diagnostic service environments, honing diagnostic and communication skills.
  • Experience working with university pathologists, clinicians and associate veterinary practices.
