Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- All aspects of centre operations, including staff scheduling, customer service, cleanliness and facility maintenance.
- The staff team, including development and implementation of staff and work experience training programs, staff meetings and performance reviews.
- All aspects of centre safety and compliance, including conducting risk assessments and ensuring incident reporting is compliant and analysed regularly.
- Proactively driving business growth by exploring and implementing new ideas and partnerships.
- Actively participate in the recruitment and selection process for all centre staff.
- Demonstrating transparency, openness and respect in dealing with staff and members of the public.
- Ensure a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere is created at Indirock, encouraging climbers of all abilities, backgrounds and income levels to feel part of the community.
- Follow all health and safety, environmental and other procedures as laid out by the Company and provided in the Employee Handbook.
- Carry out additional or alternative tasks as the Company may require and comply with the policies and lawful directions of the Company.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 1 year of management experience within the climbing, leisure, or sports industry.
- Excellent customer service skills and a strong ability to build rapport with customers and staff.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and CRM systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Passion for climbing/sports and a strong commitment to the company's values.
Desired Skills
- Bouldering instructor/coaching qualifications.
- Safeguarding experience.
- Driving license.
Hours / Salary
- 37.5 hours/week
- £34-38k depending on experience, plus KPI-related bonus
