Client Service Specialist – Group Risk

Location: Nationwide

Salary: up to £34,000 (DOE) + Benefits

My client is looking for a Client Service Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in Group Risk Policies, including Group Income Protection, Group Life Insurance, Group Critical Illness, Group Death and Service Pension.

Role Overview

The Client Service Specialist provides office-based support for an assigned Sales Consultant within the Group Risk specialism. Responsibilities include running the client portfolio, client and provider interactions and policy renewal support.

Daily Duties

  • Ensure the smooth running of assigned client portfolio on a day-to-day basis.
  • Develop, maintain and cultivate constructive and professional relationships with Group Risk Sales Executives, clients and insurers at all levels.
  • Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day administration from clients, providers and internal/external sources.
  • Independently respond to queries from both clients and insurers, meeting agreed SLAs and keeping all parties updated.
  • Coordinate administration of schemes, including invoicing, accounts, client queries, claims, underwriting, rehabilitation support services and communication material.
  • Proactively initiate and manage gathering of all relevant data for each client’s scheme renewal and ensure accuracy at all times, assist with analysis of data as required.
  • Prepare template client reports as requested by the Group Risk Sales Consultant.
  • Check correspondence for discrepancies and challenge as appropriate.

General Responsibilities

  • Assist team performance through regular communication with colleagues and manager to establish and raise concerns and provide solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards, financial and industry compliance regulations, legislations.
  • Undergo training in line with agreed objectives and keep up to date with product and technical developments.
  • Proactively seek, recommend improvements to processes and service, participate fully in implementation within the team and be an advocate for change.
  • Undertake ad-hoc work as may reasonably be required by the company.
