Job summary

A leading facilities management company is seeking dedicated individuals to maintain a high standard of cleaning within Essex Police Buildings. Responsibilities include cleaning office areas, toilets, and kitchen areas while following safety protocols. Ideal candidates will have experience in similar roles, good communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. Flexible working hours, including weekends, may be required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in working within a team and independently.
  • Knowledge of COSHH.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure cleaning duties are carried out according to specifications.
  • Complete ADHOC jobs as requested by line manager.
  • Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in order.

About The Role

Working Pattern - Varied Day Schedule - varied

To provide a high standard of cleaning within the Essex Police Buildings. This would include the cleaning of Office Areas, Toilets/Showers, Kitchen Areas and general cleaning of cells.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure cleaning duties are carried out in accordance with the cleaning specification and work schedules including Custody but not Foul Cells.
  • Complete ADHOC jobs as requested by your line manager
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Due to the nature of the work confidentiality is always required.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are always followed.
  • Follow the safe use of chemicals guidance (COSHH).
  • To ensure the handover of any outstanding work.
Qualifications & Experience

Skills & abilities:

  • Ability to work under own initiative and also as a member of a team.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to operate in a pressurised environment.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Attention to detail and proactive.

Experience:

  • Experience in working within a team as well as on your own – essential
  • Knowledge of COSHH
  • Previous experience within similar role.

Any other requirements:

  • Flexible approach to working hours, including working weekends & Bank Holidays
  • Willingness to take any further appropriate training.
