A local education authority is seeking dedicated cleaners for Woodfield School, focusing on maintaining cleanliness for vulnerable children. The role offers 15 hours per week, supporting a safe, family-oriented environment. Ideal candidates are passionate and empathetic with a commitment to making a difference. Join a welcoming team in one of Coventry's unique educational settings.
Woodfield is a specialist all-through SEMH school supporting children from Year 1 to Year 11 who have been identified as unable to manage or cope within mainstream settings due to their special educational needs, many of our children have also experienced significant trauma and adverse childhood experiences. Our school community provides not just education, but a safe space, a family-oriented community, and pastoral support for children and families who may have "given up" on education and are at crisis point. We're at an exciting turning point in our journey: relocating to a state-of-the-art facility at the old Woodlands site in September 2026. This will make us one of the largest and most innovative SEMH provisions in the country. We are creating the first-ever multi-agency approach to a school setting in collaboration with Social Care, Health and Police!
We are looking for hard working dedicated cleaners to join our cleaning team. This will most be at one site, either our primary school located on Stoneleigh Road, or our secondary school located on Hawthorn lane, however from time to time cover may be required across either site. The majority of the cleaning happens before the students have arrived or once they have left. It is then for our dedicated team to clean our school to ensure it remains at the highest possible standard. Cleaning designated areas within our school sites, to ensure that they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.
Hours: 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year.
Closing date: Sunday 7th December 2025. Interview date: TBC. Please apply using the online application form ensuring you outline your skills, abilities, and experience in line with the key areas on the advert and Job Description and Person Specification. Or you can download the application pack and return completed direct to the school. Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS. Following recommendations from Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) for an additional pre employment check with effect 1 Sept 22, please note, an online search may form part of this recruitment process.
