£12.73 per hour

Range of hours between 16-30 hours per week

Ready to Start January 1st, 2026, with Interviews and DBS process starting in November 2025

Working: As per rota, variety of shifts available – early mornings, daytime and evenings.

Equated pay

Equated pay (sometimes known as spread‑over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non‑working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage.

About Role

Are you reliable, hardworking, and ready to join a friendly and supportive team? We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to work at Churcher's College (Petersfield and Liphook).

What you’ll do

• Maintain a tidy appearance and professional conduct at all times
• Monitor and maintain all areas of responsibility to the set standard of cleanliness within the timeframe given, complying at all times with standards laid down in the work schedule
• Clean bathroom and changing facilities throughout the school
• Clean classrooms, meeting rooms, multi‑use facilities
• Undertake a periodic cleaning programme as directed
• Ensure safety signage used at all times – e.g., wet floor
• Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance – comply with company regulations, wearing uniform provided
• Follow COSHH regulations when using chemicals and cleaning equipment
• Immediately report defective equipment to the Line Manager
• Communicate cleaning material requirements to the Line Manager
• Maintain a safe system of work within the Company Health and Safety Procedures laid down
• Assist colleagues with departmental responsibilities once duties are completed
• Continue to develop skills and knowledge within the position
• Carry out all reasonable tasks as directed by supervisor/management

Essential

• Ability to liaise with people at a Senior Level both internally & externally
• Ability to work on own initiative, as there is an element of lone working on occasions
