LOCATION: Devonport Dockyard Plymouth PL1 4SG

SHIFT PATTERN: Mon-Fri, 34 hours per week

PAY RATE: £13.15 per hour

OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION

You must be proactive and be able to problem solve, with good attention to detail. You must be reliable and flexible to the needs of the business. You will work closely with the Client, completing planned and reactive Work Orders as they present themselves. Provide excellent Customer Service skills to the Client and associated representatives.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Various Cleaning duties including but limited to: litter picking, bin emptying, pressure washing, clearing of slipways, removal of dead birds/rodents, deep cleaning of buildings including carpet washing.
  • Machine operation, use of ride on sweepers, scrubber-dryers and pressure washers.
  • Involves outdoor cleaning.
  • Working alongside a team of cleaners.
  • Completing periodic tasks to ensure completion to a high standard.
  • Completing paperwork.
  • Communicating with Line Manager.
  • Communicating with the Client in a professional manner.
  • Maintain great standards of Health & Safety and ensure PPE is worn and follow and comply with Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • High Level Cleaning and vegetation removal as required (MEWP training will be provided).
Required Skills and Experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication skills both internal and external.
  • The ability to effectively prioritise your workload and build relationships.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A customer focused approach.
  • A proactive/can do attitude to work.
  • The ability to work on own initiative and take full responsibility of the role.
  • The ability to follow process/instructions.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and willingness to learn.
  • Be able to follow site maps.
  • Must have a valid UK Driving License.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Basic IT skills.
  • IOSH Managing or Working Safely although training will be provided.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Previous Team Lead Experience.
  • MEWP Training although training will be provided (IPAF and PASMA).
