Job summary

A local recruitment service is seeking a General Cleaner/Housekeeper in Manchester. The role involves delivering high-quality cleaning services, ensuring facilities are safe and well-maintained. This position is full-time with a pay rate of £13.49 per hour for a contract period of 3 months, with an option for extension. Number of Posts: 23 (21 Full time roles and 2 Part time roles)

Locations

Full Time roles cover the following areas:

  • Longsight
  • Openshaw
  • Claytonbrook
  • FHQ – Newton Heath area
  • North Manchester – Newton Heath area
  • Tameside
  • Didsbury
  • Oldham
  • Sedgley Park – Prestwich area

Part Time roles:

  • Stretford (25 hours per week)
  • Hibernia Way, Trafford Park (30 hours per week)

Contract: 3 month contract with likely extension

Pay Rate: £13.49 PAYE per hour

About the Role

You will deliver a high-quality cleaning service across GMP buildings, ensuring facilities are safe, clean and well maintained. Duties include general cleaning, use of cleaning equipment, replenishing supplies and working in line with health and safety requirements.

The role involves physical activity such as bending, lifting, walking and handling equipment.

Essential skills and experience
  • Previous cleaning experience within a medium or large-scale organisation
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English for work-related instructions and information
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements, including COSHH

Good attendance and performance record

Physically able to carry out cleaning duties (reasonable adjustments will be considered)

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle only where the post requires mobility
