Smart Solutions is currently recruiting a Class 2 Trade Waste Driver for our client based in Cotesbach LE17. Our client is a leader in waste management services.

Job Details:

• Pay rate: £16.50 per hour, weekly pay every Friday
• Shift pattern: Monday - Friday | shift start 4am/5am, 10 hrs shift
• £75 attendance bonus for completing a full week
• Industry: Waste & Recycling

The role can be physically demanding, involving lifting and carrying of waste and recycling materials from various waste receptacles (e.g. bins, bags and boxes).

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Drive and operate a Class 2 (Category C) HGV to collect trade waste
• Use bin-lifting equipment and follow pre-planned routes
• Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness
• Ensure compliance with all health & safety and waste handling regulations
• Provide professional and courteous customer service
• Report any issues, delays, or incidents promptly

Person Specification:

• Able to meet the essential physical requirements of the role including lifting and carrying
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced, dynamic work environment
• Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage
• Good team player and communicator
• Able to perform various tasks including moving bulky items and loading the vehicle outside in all weather conditions
