Overview

Class 2 Driver & Labourer - £16/hour - Temp to Perm - BURNTWOOD

Location: Burntwood

Job Type: Temp to Perm

Shift: Monday to Friday | Daytime Shifts | 2 Saturday shifts per month required | Occasional nights away (2-3 per week)

Pay: £16.00 per hour (Minimum 8 hours/day guaranteed)

Responsibilities

• On the Road: Delivering and collecting wheelie bins filled with scrap material
• Transferring contents into ton bags for transit
• Using a tablet to raise purchase invoices and manage routes
• Delivering an excellent level of customer service at every stop
• In the Yard (ocassionally): Assisting customers and grading material
• Using forklifts and power tools to process and move metal
• Cutting, stripping, cropping, and sorting metal
• Keeping the warehouse and yard clean and organised

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 Licence (Category C) with minimum 6 months' experience
• Aged 25+ (insurance requirement)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Skilled, safe, and reliable driver
• Confident with manual handling, heavy lifting, and labouring tasks
• Comfortable using tablets/digital platforms
• Willing to stay away from home up to 2-3 nights per week
• Competent with power tools (advantage)
• Flexibility to work 2 Saturdays per month
