Job summary

A recruitment agency is looking for experienced Class 1 drivers in Southampton for multi-drop work on a temp-perm basis. You will be responsible for delivering goods, loading and unloading vehicles, and providing excellent customer service. Candidates must hold a valid Class 1 licence, CPC, Digi Tacho, and have a clean driving record. This role offers competitive pay and benefits including on-site parking and weekly payments.

Job description

Gi Group are looking for experienced Class 1 drivers in Southampton for multi-drop work, on a temp‑perm basis (work through January).

Pay Rate

• Monday to Friday nights – £20.96 including holiday pay (PAYE only, no umbrellas)
• Saturday and Sunday nights – £24.09 including holiday pay (PAYE only, no umbrellas)

Shift Patterns

• 01:00–03:00 start times (will be paid at night rate for whole shift)
• 5 out of 7 days, including weekends

Key Duties

• Multi‑drop deliveries (6–10)
• 10–12 hour average shift length
• Loading and unloading using trays on wheels

Qualifications

• UK, in‑date, Class 1 (CE) licence with a minimum of 1 year’s experience

• No more than 6 penalty points (no IN, DR, DD, CU, MS or MI/TT codes)
• Willingness to load and unload vehicle
